Pharmacy Practice in California

Naloxone Hydrochloride Hormonal Contraception Tobacco Cessation

Join the California Pharmacists Association (CPhA) for a special CPE event focusing on new authorities granted to licensed pharmacists.  The training was developed specifically to meet the requirements established by legislation; one hour of CE specific to hormonal contraception, one hour of CE specific to the use of naloxone hydrochloride in all routes of administration, and two hours of CE specific to smoking cessation therapy and nicotine replacement therapy.

Upon successfully completing the training, pharmacists will be able to use the state protocols and begin furnishing NRT products, emergency contraception drug therapy and self-administered hormonal contraceptives, and dispense naloxone hydrochloride.
