One Profession, One PAC
What Is CPh-PAC?
The acronym “PAC” stands for political action committee. By contributing to the California Pharmacists Political Action Committee (CPh-PAC), you are making a commitment to YOUR industry and an investment in YOUR business. CPh-PAC is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, voluntary organization. The goal of CPh-PAC is to promote good government, which enables the pharmacy community to provide quality pharmaceutical care for Californians. CPh-PAC funds are contributed to assist candidates who support California pharmacy issues. Under California campaign finance law, a PAC is a tightly regulated entity, which must register and file periodic reports required by the Political Reform Act. Election laws prohibit the use of membership dues for contributions to political candidates. PAC’s rely on voluntary contributions and are not tax deductible. PAC contributors are limited to $5,600 per calendar year.
