In California, pharmacists have had the right to vaccinate by protocol for many years, but as of this year, pharmacist can now independently give vaccines. With this new responsibility comes some important procedures that you need to be aware of and important vaccine updates. This session will cover both the new law and important vaccine updates.
AUDIENCE: This program is targeted to pharmacists.
• Discuss routinely recommended adult immunizations and laws pertaining to their administration in CA
• Discuss how SB 493 can facilitate pharmacist provided immunizations
• Discuss how to implement a vaccination service in your pharmacy

CONTINUING PHARMACY EDUCATION
The California Pharmacists Association (#0113) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Upon completing an evaluation form, participants will be awarded 1 hour (0.1 CEUs) of Continuing Pharmacy Education Credit. A statement of credit will not be issued. Participants may log onto the CPE monitor website using their individual log in to download their statement of credit. Please allow 4 weeks for processing of CPE credits to the CPE monitor.
