The Legislature is on Spring Recess this week.
CPhA's Legislative Day 2008 will be held on Wednesday, April 16th. Due to all of the issues facing pharmacy in 2008, we have extended the opportunity to register to March 21, 2008. If you register after that date we will not be able to schedule an appointment with you and your Legislator. As you are aware, the 2008 Legislative Session is fully underway and there is great concern regarding the 10% budget cuts scheduled to go into effect on July 1, 2008. These cuts will impact both the ingredient cost and the dispensing fee and will adversely affect every pharmacist practicing in the State of California! We need to blanket the Capitol in white coats on April 16th! Please go to www.cpha.com/legday to register TODAY!
CPhA's positions on the bills put forth to date in the 2008 Legislative Session, as determined by CPhA's Legislative Committee, will be on the website by the end of this week.
