Participation in SIGs allows you direct access to colleagues who share and understand your practice-setting interests. Each SIG serves as a source of specialized information on the local, state and federal levels, and provides opportunities for involvement in advancing the interests of your profession.

The Ambulatory Care SIG promotes legislative advocacy, develops communication among health care professionals, advocates standards of practice and provides input on educational programs and services for its Ambulatory Care SIG members.

The Community Pharmacy SIG supports employee and community pharmacists in the management of their practice environment, assuring optimal levels of professionalism and job satisfaction.

The Compounding SIG promotes and protects quality compounding services; maintaining high quality and professional standards in pharmacies for the optimum health outcomes of California patients.

The Inpatient Care SIG promotes legislative advocacy, develops communication among health care professionals, advocates standards of practice and provide input on educational programs and services for its Inpatient Care SIG members.

The Long Term Care SIG promotes pharmacy practice in the long-term care setting by enhancing the quality of practice through education and input on professional and ethical standards.

The Managed Care SIG promotes managed care principles that help to foster pharmacist involvement as a critical component of health care policy decision-making and implementation.

The Pharmacy Ownership SIG promotes positive health outcomes through drug therapy or consultation by pharmacists’ care and to improve the financial prosperity of the independent community pharmacist.

The Pharmacy Technician SIG promotes professionalism and job satisfaction among its members, and develops mechanisms to recruitment and retain its technician members.
